Charleston, Greenville sue Airbnb

The Greenville City Council passed a resolution Monday night that permits City Manager John McDonough and city attorney Mike Pitts to join Charleston and other South Carolina municipalities in a lawsuit against Airbnb, Vrbo, Flip Key Inc. and other short-term rental companies.

S.C. needs 80,000 workers to fill open roles

With tens of thousands of open jobs in South Carolina, the S.C. Chamber of Commerce has created a Workforce Development Survey and is asking employers across the state to respond to better understand why employers are struggling to fill roles.

Columbia International University to hold business academy

The four-day academy for high school students will be held from July 12-15 and be led by CIU faculty. The curriculum will include leadership training and networking and feature a capstone business project.
