Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the organization that puts on the annual CES electronics show in Las Vegas, has referred to himself as “the biggest cheerleader for the tech world.” But that doesn’t mean his elevator pitch for this month’s show is off base.

Nicolas Roy scored twice to end a 17-game goalless drought, and the Golden Knights started 2023 with a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena on Monday.
