The agency said China may have committed crimes against humanity in the region through its treatment of Uyghurs and other mostly Muslim ethnic groups, according to The Associated Press. [AP] SARAH PALIN LOSES COMEBACK BID FOR STATE'S LONE HOUSE SEAT Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, lost her bid for a political comeback Wednesday, falling in the election to fill the remainder of the late Congressman Don Young's term. Democrat Mary Peltola, the winner of the race, made history as the state's first Indigenous person to be elected to federal office. Palin will see a rematch, though, in a separate vote in November to win a full House term.
