The DOJ has argued that the appointment would "significantly harm important governmental interests, including national security interests." The way many Americans eat is fueling chronic disease. But the White House has seven big ideas — part of a new national strategy to be announced later this month — for how to improve Americans' diets. Citing climate change, the summer's extreme heat and the need to cut carbon emissions, California lawmakers voted last night to extend the life of Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. Biden's plan to forgive up to $20,000 in federal student loans per borrower has unearthed a mountain of uncertainty about how, exactly, it will work. Ahead of Labor Day weekend, several major airlines are promising to deliver better customer service, especially when flights are delayed or canceled.
