Here's what we know about the long-time federal judge, who has been described by his colleagues as "unfailingly fair." The tentative deal with the rail workers union may prevent another disaster for the U.S. supply chain. But all is not well: deliveries still aren't quite back to pre-pandemic levels, and the potential rail strike only highlights how fragile the system is.  Just how dangerous is COVID now? Researchers can't come to an agreement. Some say preexisting immunity and new treatments make the virus less risky than the flu. Others maintain that it's still a serious public health issue. An communities in Iowa and online are rallying around a 17-year-old survivor of human trafficking who was convicted for killing her rapist. Pieper Lewis is required to pay the family of her abuser $150,000 due to a mandatory restitution order. People outraged by that requirement have raised more than $400,000 for her.
