One-party rule or divided Capitol again? Voters to decide
Narrow legislative majorities will be put to the test in November's election. All 201 legislative seats — and control of the House and Senate — are on November's ballot. With the governor's office also up for grabs, it raises the possibility of one-party control at the Minnesota Capitol, although Minnesota is more familiar with divided state government.

What else we're watching:
Voting officials: Misinformation fueling election skepticism. Across Minnesota, county officials are encountering people questioning the results of the 2020 election and demanding changes to the voting process, even though there is no proof of widespread fraud or other problems.

In Focus: How to make outdoor recreation welcoming for all. Research shows that people of color are far less likely to engage in nature-based outdoor recreation activities than their white peers. During this In Focus discussion from the Minnesota State Fair, host Twila Dang discusses the so-called nature gap and what to do about it, with outdoor equity experts Anthony Taylor and Asha Shoffner.

Minnesota Senate and House races to watch. All 201 seats in the Minnesota legislature and control of the Minnesota House and Senate are on the ballot this fall. MPR News' political reporter Brian Bakst breaks down the races to watch.
