Match 69 of the 2022 TATA Indian Premier League brings us live action from the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai for the clash between the Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals.
The Mumbai Indians are placed bottom of the table with just three wins from their thirteen games. This is the first time that they have finished last in the table and will be looking forward to next year's campaign where they can revamp their squad, acquire some new additions and compete for glory once again. They are playing their last game of the season against the Delhi Capitals and will be looking to end their disappointing campaign on a high note.
That being said, the Delhi Capitals are placed fifth in the table with seven wins and six defeats from their thirteen games. They won their previous outing against the Punjab Kings by 17 runs courtesy of brilliant bowling from Shardul Thakur who picked up 4 wickets. To make things simple, if they win they qualify for the playoffs and will knock Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the tournament. Therefore, the Capitals fate lies in their own hands. Punjab Kings and SunRisers Hyderabad are already knocked out due to RCB's victory against the Gujarat Titans. The last remaining spot of the playoffs is up for grabs and it all comes down to Match 69.
