Ukrainians woke up today to the sound of air sirens and explosions across the country just minutes after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a military operation against its smaller neighbor. Russia is attacking Ukraine with cyberattacks, missiles, and airstrikes that have reportedly killed dozens of Ukrainian soldiers. Ukraine's president is urging ordinary citizens to take up arms while the West prepares to hit Moscow with crippling sanctions. Here's what you need to know.
