Elche went ahead in the 103rd minute after Marcelo had received a red card through Verdu but their lead didn't last long as Madrid pulled level through Isco. Madrid ended the game as victors when Eden Hazard scored five minutes from time.
Real Madrid were on the back of lifting the Supercopa de Espana coming into the clash against Elche at the Estadio Martinez Valero in the Round-16 of the Spanish Copa Del Rey.
The game began at a frantic pace as Vinicius Junior drew the first blood but Elche could have gone ahead in the 11th minute but they missed an open goal.

Real Madrid have thus advanced into the Quarterfinals of the Cops Del Rey and will know their opponents when the draw is made on Friday afternoon.
