The past two weeks or so was not my most productive weeks in quite some time. And because of that, I don't have anything I could (or want) write for my journal. For today's post, you can see it as me having a guilt ride or I finally have something I want to write. Because of this unproductive weeks, I'm still struggling to finish the first release of PetTake. And as always, I keep writing the code however few lines I could manage to write. This is quite an unpleasant feeling and an obvious sign for my burnout and seek for a new heading for my next destination.

PetTake, as I write this post, is at the state where I almost finish the pet form (create and update) and the remaining two parts are contact form and user authentication. For the former part, I already have a config ready from my previous project and I only need to change its SMTP config and its route before finishing it, therefore this part should be quick. And there won't be much changes for the user authentication as well other than the only probable change of using JWT as cookie instead of simple session.

The first release will end up with a product that will need a lot of ironing to become a proper application, but I will work on those details whenever I feel like it. Once I finish the first release, I will work on my portfolio website before going to look for a job. That's it for today, and I hope I have something to write for the morrow as well. Cheers!
