President Joe Biden's agenda faces an uphill battle in Washington today as divisions within his party threaten to thwart his signature priorities, including voting reform and infrastructure. Key Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia says he won't vote for a massive election overhaul package, leaving it with no chance of passing and sparking concerns that other Democrat agenda items could suffer a similar fate. Her first foreign trip as VP will also take her to Mexico, where she plans to meet with politicians to secure commitments for greater cooperation on border security. The administration is expected to announce today new plans to fight border smuggling and trafficking.
Simone Biles claimed her record seventh national women's all-around title yesterday at the US Gymnastics Championship in Fort Worth, Texas. "We came out here, and we did what we were supposed to," Biles said.
The United States is not on track to meet President Biden's goal to have 70% of American adults receive at least one coronavirus shot by July 4. CDC data shows that the vaccination rate has slowed to just over 1 million doses per day after a high of 3.3 million in April.

The advertisement is part of the the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) List's $2 million campaign "highlighting the humanity of unborn children as the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to hear a landmark abortion case."
The United Nations agency responsible for taking care of Palestinian refugees announced over the weekend it found what "appears to be a cavity and a possible tunnel" under one of its schools in the Gaza Strip. Israel has long said that the ruling Hamas terror group embeds its military infrastructure in civilian areas and digs "terror tunnels" used by its members. TRENDING ON THE WEB 1.
