The project is expected to reach completion by mid-2022, according to today's announcement. S.C. needs 80,000 workers to fill open roles The majority of the jobs are in the hospitality industry and manufacturing, according to S.C. Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob Morgan. Both are among the state's leading industries. GADC, Federal Reserve seek Upstate business input The Greenville Area Development Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond are conducting a 10-minute survey of the S.C. business community on the conditions Upstate businesses face due to COVID-19. The aggregated results of this survey will inform policymakers, according to a news release. Timken donates $56,105 for SCC Tyger River Campus The Timken Foundation awarded the Spartanburg Community College Foundation $56,105 to increase access to high-quality educational equipment in health care, welding and massage therapy at the SCC Tyger River Campus.
