Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, faces a significant career decision as Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal has reportedly extended a jaw-dropping ₦1billion Naira per week offer.
The club is said to have offered Osimhen a salary that exceeds his current wages by more than 10 times, enticing him to leave Napoli.
Al-Hilal's proposition involves a staggering €140 million deal to secure Osimhen's signature, accompanied by a tempting weekly wage of around £1 million. While there has been no official response from Osimhen or Napoli yet, the financial aspects of the offer are bound to be enticing for both parties involved.
Previously, Napoli expressed their determination to retain Osimhen, setting a price range of €150-€180 million in case they considered parting ways with the talented striker. However, Al-Hilal's substantial bid might force them to reconsider their stance and possibly negotiate a deal.
In addition to the club's offer, Osimhen is currently in talks with Napoli to renew his contract, which would result in a significant pay raise from his current €4.5 million per year salary. The potential new agreement with Napoli would see his earnings rise to around €7 million to €7.5 million annually. Despite this, Al-Hilal's proposal dwarfs even the highest figure offered by Napoli.
With the transfer window closing in just over a month, the reactions from Napoli and Osimhen to this reported bid remain uncertain. Al-Hilal is keen to secure a new striker following the departure of Odion Ighalo earlier in the summer, adding further tension to the situation.
