Governor Greg Abbott is expected to sign the bill, which would take effect in September for the 2023-24 school year. Here's what you need to know.  WE'RE ALSO WATCHING  Senate lawmakers gave final approval to bipartisan legislation to raise the debt ceiling and cut spending to avert a disastrous government default.
