The warmth in the forecast of this picture
blurred the trails, but not our faces.
It brought a tear to my lips
and a smile in my eyes.
I've been through some stuff
like sleeping on the couch,
missing her soft skin.
She killed the engine of my pride
with a handful of sand in the gas tank.
She stands before me when I close
my eyes.
She struck my luck with her Jeep,
traversing a winding path
from the home we shared.
A reverie as it was such
that she returned to grab
her camera and me.
