Readers, we did it. We got through the first month of 2023, which is no mean feat. Due to bouts of bad weather, the end of the festive holiday season, and lighter wallets— hey, gifts aren't cheap— January can be tough. Thankfully, if you're in need of a pick-me-up in the form of some retail therapy, there are a number of noteworthy deals to be had. This week, we're seeing great deals on a variety of video games, including God of War Ragnarök and The Last of Us Part I. There's also an excellent deal still available on Apple's last-gen iPad and TCL's 65-inch 6-Series TV. However, that's just a start. As always, we've curated the best of this week for you below. Take a look, and have a great weekend! |

Winter is an ideal time for many things — gaming included. And if you're currently looking for a PlayStation 5 title to carry you through the cooler months, God of War Ragnarök is on sale via CDKeys for just $47.99, a $22 discount and the title's steepest price cut to date. Despite its delays and rocky development, God of War Ragnarök was one of our favorite PS5 games of 2022. The blockbuster exclusive is bold and ambitious, much like its 2018 predecessor, with great set pieces, solid combat, and a tearjerker of a story that helped it rack up numerous awards since its debut in November. As my colleague Ash Parrish put it in her review, the third-person action title offers "the very best of what video games can be in both narrative and gameplay." Plus, with a live-action adaptation officially headed for the small screen, there's never been a better time to familiarize yourself with Kratos & Co. |

While Ragnarök's third-person action gameplay feels similar to its predecessor, its story is far more ambitious. As Kratos wishes to bury his past, he's trying to convince his young son, Atreus, not to follow a tempting path at discovering his godhood and defying prophecy. |

Good deals are starting to pop up if you're looking for a budget-friendly TV set for Super Bowl Sunday, many of which we've highlighted here. One of these is TCL's 65-inch 6-Series QLED with Google TV, which is currently on clearance at Best Buy for $699.99 ($300 off). This sale price isn't exactly new, but it's likely to be one of the last opportunities to pick up the 2021 model before it's phased out in favor of TCL's forthcoming Q- and S-Series lineup. It's an incredible deal, specifically in terms of value. The panel uses Mini LED technology, which allows each scene to showcase brighter and more accurate lighting with the help of 360 local dimming zones. It has other impressive specs, too, like HDMI 2.1 ports for gaming in 4K at a 120Hz refresh rate, not to mention variable refresh rate (VRR) support, which helps reduce screen tearing when console or PC performance takes a hit. The 2021 R646 features 4K HDR and Mini LED backlighting along with support for HDR10 Plus and 4K gaming at 120Hz. It also runs on Google TV software. |

| The elusive $249.99 deal on the ninth-gen, Wi-Fi-enabled iPad hasn't returned, but Walmart and Best Buy are currently offering the 10.2-inch slate with 64GB of storage for just $20 more. In case you weren't aware, the 2021 model is no longer the latest version — that would be the 10th-gen iPad that has a refreshed, iPad Air-like design and USB-C charging. However, that doesn't mean this older version is drastically worse than the newer model. In fact, you're getting the same amount of storage and only slightly slower performance (the newer version has an A14 Bionic chip while the last-gen model uses an A13 Bionic). Plus, this discounted version has a 3.5mm jack that makes it easy to plug in headphones. |

Apple's entry-level iPad from 2021 has an A13 Bionic chip and a 12MP front camera that supports Apple's Center Stage feature. It's also compatible with the first-gen Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard and is the only iPad that still has a 3.5mm headphone jack. |

Here's a deal just for you, dear newsletter readers. Right now, iRobot's Roomba j7 robot vacuum is back down to an all-time low of $399 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. The j7 is currently our favorite robot vacuum, one that makes cleaning up far less painful. You can control it with Amazon Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant, and it comes with handy features like scheduling, obstacle avoidance, and even the ability to map your home's layout. It doesn't come with an auto-emptying docking station like the more expensive j7 Plus, but it remains a great robovac, especially at this discounted price. Read our Roomba j7 Plus review. |

The Roomba j7 features obstacle avoidance that allows it to navigate around furniture and smaller objects that it deems hazardous. Besides cleaning on a set schedule, the j7 can also jump to work via voice commands or the Roomba app. |
