EVERY DAY IS JAN. 6 FOR TRUMP'S 2024 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN The emerging theme of Donald Trump's 2024 campaign for president is not only that he actually won in 2020 and the election was rigged against him, but also that the Jan. 6, 2021, riot was an appropriate response. He has made it increasingly clear that he believes that he and his supporters are above the law. Last week, Trump participated via video in a fundraiser for people who are in jail for attacking the Capitol on his behalf. [HuffPost]

Federal authorities are investigating the electricity outages, which officials said were caused by "targeted" shootings. The county has been under a state of emergency that includes a curfew and closed schools. [HuffPost]

JOHN BOLTON FLOATS 2024 PRESIDENTIAL RUN TO KEEP TRUMP FROM WINNING GOP NOMINATION John Bolton, a onetime national security adviser to Trump, said he was prepared to jump into the 2024 presidential contest if he did not see enough pushback within the Republican Party to Trump's recent call to scrap the U.S. Constitution. "This is serious business," Bolton said. [HuffPost]

MITT ROMNEY MOCKS 'RINO' TRUMP OVER HIS CALL TO TORCH CONSTITUTION Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) joined other Republicans in denouncing Trump's remarks, borrowing one of the former president's favorite nicknames for his critics. "Well, the Republican Party is the Constitution party," Romney said. "So when he calls to suspend the Constitution, he goes from being MAGA to being RINO." Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) called Trump's suggestion "an affront to our Republic." [HuffPost]
