Tampa Bay has been a real estate hot spot for the past two years, thanks in part to a home buying frenzy triggered by historically low mortgage rates.   But with rates on the rise again, experts say the local housing market is now starting to slow.   The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate crossed 7% last week, the highest it’s been in two decades, according to one mortgage buyer. And the Federal Reserve is expected to announce its sixth interest rate hike today, in a move that could cause mortgage rates to climb even higher.   This report breaks down the latest forecast for homebuyers.
