This Labor Day, columnist Stephanie Hayes is making a case for us all to consider “Quiet Quitting,” well, everything. The phrase is typically used to refer to not going above and beyond in the workplace. But work isn’t just at the office. So, Stephanie asks, why not apply it to other corners of modern life? “Quiet Quit the dishwasher twice a week. ... Quiet Quit dinner by boldly proclaiming Honey Nut Cheerios night. ... Co-worker suggesting happy hour under the guise of asking you to join a subcommittee, any subcommittee? In this new world, subcommittees are out. Quietly do not go!” she writes.
