About the book MOMMY, I AM A PACER and the main character in the five short stories. She believed she could change the world with communication, love, & kindness; through perseverance, she did make a difference in her community. She helped Amber, Omar's dog, fit in his new community; both, Amber and Omar, represented the new kids on the block. She showed agility; she was there for the team and proved the importance of teamwork. She understood that any conflict must be addressed openly; she followed the guidance of her grandfather to solve the differences with her friends. She had empathy and saw those left behind, and more importantly, she connected with them to include them in all activities. She knew that everyone was unique and had their strength; given time, and respect, they shall prove themselves. That was the main character in the five short stories. Inspired by my experience with children as coordinator of Peace Education and the Middle School Director, I needed her daily; I tried to push the students to see how they can change the world with communication, love, and kindness. Her name was Abigail; what is yours?"
