Bodo/Glimt forward, Boniface Victor has landed in Belgium this morning (Tuesday) to complete his medical and sign paperwork for a move to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
"Boniface flew into Brussels late Monday night. He has passed the medical test for Union Saint-Gilloise." A reliable source disclosed to OJBSPORT.
"There was tension attached to this move because of the history of serious knee injuries. But everything is fine now."
The former Nigeria U20 forward scored three goals in the space of 58 minutes last month in a Champions League qualifier game against Klaksvik, to break the long-standing 20-year record set by former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni. Making him the second Nigerian to score a hat-trick in a UEFA Champions League match.
Boniface also becomes the first player to score a Champions League hat-trick for a Norwegian in 15 years. The last player to achieve it was Abdou Razack Traoré for Rosenborg in August 2007.
Royale Union is owned by Tony Bloom who is also the chairman of Brighton and Hove Albion. He became their majority shareholder three years ago, alongside his friend and business associate Alex Muzio, who oversees the day-to-day running of the club.
Boniface moving to Royale Union could subsequently lead to the big centre-forward playing in the Premier League with Brighton and Hove.
