I make these for special little treats in the kid's lunches so I omit the pecans. They freeze really well individually so I like to cut them and wrap them up into single portions and place them in a freezer bag so I can just pull out a few at a time and pop them into their lunch kits and they're thawed in time for lunch
I also like to cut each one of the pieces shown into quarters to make little bite size pieces so it looks they're getting more than they really are haha
Oooh! Side note, these are also really delicious warmed a bit in the microwave and as an extra special treat, top it with a wee bit of ice cream
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Grease 13x9 pan. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter. Add eggs, 1 egg at a time, beating well. Add remainder of ingredients and mix until smooth. Spread mixture into prepared pan and bake for 40-50 minutes.
