See our ethics statement. If you ask me to describe the perfect summer weekend getaway, it'd probably include escaping to upstate New York to chill with some of The Verge's favorite gadgets. I know, you're supposed to detach from tech when you go on vacation. But how can I properly chill out unless I have something to keep me entertained throughout the day?   This Friday's deal dispatch contains some getaway gear that'll make outdoor adventures a little more enjoyable. However, I didn't forget about home dwellers who want to make the most of their weekend or upcoming staycation, which is why the bottom of our newsletter features a couple more deals you may want to check out.  The powerful, street-legal Super73 RX e-bike is $200 off There are almost always decent deals available on e-bikes, but it's not as common to find them on the more powerful electric options, like the Super73 RX. While it typically sells for $3,695, Best Buy has knocked $200 off the e-bike's typical cost, dropping it to just $3,495. I know, it's still pricey, but not many e-bikes are as powerful or trail-ready as as the Super73 RX.   The "carmine red" model boasts over 75 miles of range per charge, with a top speed of 20mph, as purchased. The Clip 4 is $49.99 at Amazon in multiple colorways, and its built-in carabiner can clip onto a lot of stuff, making it handy to bring with you wherever you go. It charges via USB-C, too, and boasts 10 hours battery life. Oh, and my colleague Chris Welch rated it as one of the best Bluetooth speakers that you can buy, and you can trust him.   Although the capable Bluetooth speaker can't compete with larger, pricier options in terms of output, I was surprised by how good it sounds when I picked one up for myself. If you're in the market for an affordable IP67-rated Bluetooth speaker, it's tough to find a better deal than JBL's Clip 4. It's small, yet powerful, and its built-in carabiner can be clipped to bags, bike handles, tree limbs, and more. $49.99 AT AMAZON The sporty Bose Frames Tempo are $50 off Bose's Frames are called "smart glasses," but essentially all that's smart about them is that they're able to pick up and place calls and discreetly play music through a set of speakers located near your ear. To me, that's smart enough. And what's more, the company's Tempo style sunglasses are made for sports and on sale right now for $199 at Amazon ($50 off).    My colleague Chris Welch reviewed the Bluetooth-equipped Tempo last year, and prefers this style compared to other models from Bose due to the their superior sound quality, intuitive controls, and a USB-C charging port (the other options rely on pogo pins). Thankfully, Amazon surprised us this week by allowing shoppers to request an invitation to purchase one of Sony's $499.99 disc-based PS5 consoles. It won't give everyone an invite, but if you're invited, you can expect to hear back within 72 hours of requesting one.   To reserve one, navigate to this page and you should notice a button on the right-hand side to request an invitation. Normally $539, Plus subscribers can pick up the 64GB, Wi-Fi model for just $399 through Sunday, June 5th, at 7PM ET. A price that we'd consider to be a deal worth sharing here on this model is anything less than $450.   The last-gen Air showcases Apple's new(er) redesign for the iPad Air, which features the same flat edges and USB-C connectivity as the iPad Pro. It also has a gorgeous screen and supports the second-gen Apple Pencil. While the newer model features the fast M1 processor, the A14 Bionic chip can still hold its own for almost any task.
