Nantes and Super Eagles forward, Moses Simon was on target for his French employers, Nantes FC in the round 35 fixtures away from home.
The 26-year-old scored a first half brace to put the visitors ahead. Moses Simon streaked in-behind and slotted the ball into the far corner past the Lens goalkeeper, Jean-Louis Leca to put Lens ahead in the eight minutes.
Eleven minutes later, Lens were reduced to ten men. Jean-Louis , Lens goalkeeper was red carded after bringing Moses Simon down outside the box.
The visitors took advantage of their numerical superiority just past the half-hour mark when Simon followed up a rebounded effort to tap home into an empty net, doubling the visitors' lead.
Three substitutes into the second half from Lens' coach, Franck Haise proved helpful to the home side as they dramatically pulled one back on a counter attack. A close-range curling strike from David Costa reduced the arrears with 20 minutes still to play, setting up a grandstand finish.
