The MoJo Daily newsletter, Monday through Friday.

In some corners of the East Coast this weekend, it's about to shoot up to 95-degrees-hell-yeah. I happen to live in one of these corners and am pretty jazzed for the imminent onset of warm weather. Beach chairs. Outdoor martinis. All of which has me, on this particular Friday afternoon, feeling peppy and catching up on the Good Stuff. Ya know, the fun reads I couldn't quite get to because Elise Stefanik was being awful. Like this interview with Meg Stalter. The New Yorker recently caught up with Stalter—who plays the assistant from hell on Hacks—for a lovely chat where I learned all about her rise from "pandemic queen" to season 2's absolute scene-stealer. (I laugh every time she's on the screen, like legit real LOLs.) I'm also checking out Ali Slagle's I Dream of Dinner, which I finally got delivered this week. Slagle is the genius behind one of the three meals I cook every single week, and I can't wait to dive into her debut cookbook. Oh, and to be clear, I cook more than three meals a week, but those look more like tortilla chips that got slapped with a slice of cheddar cheese because that's exactly what happened. Lastly. If you, like me, happen to care at all about exceedingly mundane celebrity gossip—or are at least tickled by a good internet mystery—this guy figured out who Deuxmoi is. Head to it for an incredibly entertaining read. —Inae Oh |
