The latest long-term effect of COVID: increased diabetes risk. People who suffered from even mild cases of the virus face are more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes within a year of recovering from the illness — even with no prior risk factors. OK, thanks COVID, that's enough. We're done now.

Black people in the U.S. are still facing wide health disparities when it comes to COVID, says a new report. At the beginning of the pandemic, those inequities were found mostly in vaccine and booster shot access. Now, the study says, Black Americans are suffering from disparities in long-term physical and mental health effects of COVID.
Need more evidence that the cow and horse dewormer ivermectin shouldn't be used to treat COVID? If so, here you go: A large, new study found that the anti-parasitic drug doesn't reduce the risk of hospitalization from COVID-19. The findings were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
