Did you catch the State of the Union on Tuesday night? Biden started the speech with support for Ukraine but went downhill fast. I could hardly keep track of all the dishonest rhetoric about inflation, the border crisis, law enforcement funding, and foreign policy failures around the world.
My colleagues wanted to spare you from wasting your time listening to the ridiculous claims. So, we rewatched the State of the Union and meticulously fact checked all of it.
Here's one piece they put together for you. Most of the lies had to do with outrageous government spending. Biden kept talking about wanting to lower the deficit, as if the failed Build Back Better bill wouldn't have added a whopping $3 trillion to the national debt.
Plenty of politicians on both sides talk a big game about fiscal responsibility. But when push comes to shove, they'll increase government spending whenever given the chance.
Heritage is trying to bring some sanity to Washington with our 2022 Budget Blueprint. If politicians followed our advice, we'd be able to achieve better financial health for our country and for future generations.
