The Contest closes in just two weeks (on Monday, March 14 at 11:59 p.m. ET to be exact, just in case you forgot!). If you haven’t submitted yet, there’s still time. But the sooner you submit, the sooner your entry could be featured by NPR Music.

Here are some of our recent favorites — everything from jazz to pop to rock to R&B — which we shared on the Contest blog last week:
Laurissa "Lala" Romain is a natural star in “Comin’ In Hot.” (If you’re looking for desk decoration inspiration, take note of her lava and salt lamps.)
Melody Angel’s strong voice narrates a powerful message, which she shares from a child’s nursery in “In This America.”
Angie Pastor invites viewers to slow down with “April,” a song she performs with delicate guitar fingerpicking.
Elora Aclin impressed us with her warm voice and clever rhyming lyricism in “Ridley.”

Also last week: We kicked off our third annual #DeskOfTheDay campaign, where we share notably creative entries. (You can follow along in this Twitter thread or on NPR Music’s Instagram stories.) Here are a few standouts so far:
Oregon artist Cuchulain gives the phrase “one-man band” a new meaning with his entry, “Sing in the Shower.”
Massachusetts harpist Anna Portillo hypnotizes viewers with live looping in her entry, “Ashes.”
New York musician Mr. Reed shares a message of resilience with the help of a backing band of bongo drums, saxophone, trumpet and more in his entry, “We've Got Power (Today in the News).”
Texas singer-songwriter BettySoo couldn’t sleep — so she recorded her entry, “One Thing,” in her pajamas at 4 a.m.
