Let's look at the rules so you'll understand EXACTLY what music you can submit

View this email online Time To Face The Music Think about your favorite podcast. Does a certain tune come to mind? Now think about a moment you remember from one of the episodes. Was it sad and somber? Or full of hope? Either way, it’s quite likely that music helped move that moment forward.   In so many ways, music is emotion. Studies of the brain tell us that our minds react in different ways to the sound of music. So it's only natural that you’ll want to take all that musical magic and sprinkle it over your podcast.   But before you reach for that T Swift, (Or xylophone mallet!) make sure you're following the rules! We don't want to disqualify anyone for the Student Podcast Challenge.    So,here's our guide to helping you put great music into your podcast, so that when you sit down at the keyboard to create that magic, you’ll know the very specific rules that limit what you can and can't do. What about if you are enrolled in an international school or college, but are living at home in the United States taking online classes.  You ARE eligible, as long as you reside in the U.S.  My friends and I are home from college, taking classes online. Can we submit to the Student Podcast Challenge even though we don’t go to the same college? Yes! Go ahead and add everyone’s college info to the submission form under “List Names of All Members.”  So rather than: Joe Smith, Jane Doe You’ll put:  Joe Smith (ABC College)  Jane Doe (University of XYZ) Where do I submit????? Submit to the college contest here and to the high school/middle school contest here. College students, remember to get your podcasts in soon! The deadline is coming up on Feb. 15!
