PRAYER NEEDED. Hurricane-force 110-mile-an-hour winds have been fueling wildfires in Colorado that have already destroyed almost 600 homes. The blaze began on Thursday morning, possibly from downed power lines. Tens of thousands have been told to evacuate from several towns northwest of Denver. Here's the latest and how you can pray. Severe weather is also wreaking havoc in other parts of the country. More than 8,000 domestic flights have been cancelled since Wednesday alone, between weather and COVID-related staffing shortages, and parts of Nevada, California and Oregon have issued states of emergency after these weather emergencies.
IT MATTERS. As 2022 begins, China is on the cusp of building new currency. Importantly, it's not merely "digital" currency, but it's stable coin Chinese Yuan… in digital form. Here's what a former CIA counterterrorism analyst believes is the Chinese government's goal, and how their actions might destabilize the American dollar.
LIFE. A pro-life organization recently exposed an interesting array of salary data for Planned Parenthood CEOs. Not only do white CEO's get paid more by Planned Parenthood than black CEOs, but nine of the ten highest-paid Planned Parthood CEO's make more than the federal government's highest paid employee, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Here's the detailed report.

Unapologetically Christian, Trail Life USA teaches character and biblical manhood to boys and has seen 70 percent growth in the last year. Its sister organization, American Heritage Girls, has troops in all 50 states and 15 international countries. Many parents are not aware that TikTok videos are pushing out a steady stream of Transgender promotion. A recent Daily Mail analysis shows that the videos with #Trans on the uber-popular social platform have garnered more than 26 billion views. Here's what you need to know. Faith-based Apps are increasingly popular and funding for Christian apps, in particular, has increased by more than $100 million just since 2020. If you haven't already, check out and download the CBN Family App and the CBN News App.
INTERNATIONAL. The government of India is run by Hindu nationalists that are increasingly hostile to Christianity. The latest indication is last week's denial of the application renewal for Mother Teresa's charity, Missionaries of Charity (MoC). Here's the story. Seventy million refugees worldwide have been displaced from their homes because of religious persecution. That's why a former Virginia Congressman is raising money for a new six-part documentary film that plans to expose the breadth of religious persecution worldwide. Watch the incredible trailer for that documentary, here. Harry Miller, aformer police officer in Lincolnshire, England, was charged with a hate incident in 2019 for "transphobic tweets." After a two-year battle, Miller was just vindicated in court. If you care about free speech, don't miss this story explaining how in the United Kingdom, hurting someone's feelings can be labelled a crime.

Lifeway Research says that amidst the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, people's expectations are shifting and their 2022 Resolutions focus on health, their relationship with God, their finances, and relationships with family members. Speaking of health goals, are you one of the many people who has made a New Years' Resolution to lose weight in 2022? It really can be done. In this story, an ordinary couple, Jeff and Angela Jordan, share how with faith in God and specific changes in their food and exercise habits allowed them to lose a combined 150 pounds during the last year. Last week the CDC cut quarantine time in half for those in isolation who have tested positive for COVID but are asymptomatic. And President Biden admitted on Monday, in a call with governors, that "there's no federal solution" to the pandemic. "This gets solved at a state level," he said. The Omicron variant is expected to surge across the U.S. in the coming weeks. It's less severe than other variants of COVID-19, but still highly contagious.
ENTERTAINMENT. Singer Mariah Carey is called the "Queen of Christmas" by some, but she recently pushed back on that moniker and said the label belongs to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Learn more. American Underdog, a film chronicling the life story of NFL legend Kurt Warner, hit theaters last week on Christmas morning. The back-story behind the film's casting, however, is amazing. Read it here. A-list Hollywood actor Denzel Washington shares why he's a God-fearing man, and why he believes a fixation on social media might just be a harbinger of the Biblical last days. Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?' Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.' — Matthew 22:35-40 (NKJV)
