Match-day 23 of the English Premier league is set to see a London derby as well as the return of former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte when Chelsea from West London lock horn against North London's Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford bridge.

Both clubs will be meeting for the fourth and final time this season. They both met in a two-legged Carabao cup semi-final tie in which Chelsea came out trimuphant.

Thomas Tuchel's side have had a poor run of form in the league. Having won just one out of their last five matches - drawing three and losing one.

Antonio Conte's side, on the back of a last-gasp winner against Leicester city have been a complete opposite. They have been unbeaten in the league since Antonio Conte joined. A victory on Sunday over Chelsea would see them gain more grounds further up the table into the top four despite having four games in hand.

Chelsea are set to be with the same squad they had against Brighton. Ben Chilwell remains out.

"We have a timeframe [on Reece's return] but we will not make it public because we will just get asked about the timeframe.

"He is back on the pitch which is good news, but he is in individual training so far away from being a part of the squad for Sunday.

"Trevor Chalobah is back in team training but also way too early to play the game on Sunday at this kind of level. So actually nobody is coming back, it's the same squad" - Tuchel said in his press conference.

Eric Dier returns for Tottenham, while Heung-min Son and Christian Romero remain out for the visitors. 

"Cristian is almost ready to come back. For sure, after the international break, he can play, and that's good news for us. Also, to underline, this injury gave the possibility to see great improvements from Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga, Ben Davies… we had a problem one end, but we've seen great improvement.

"Sonny is not available, not yet. We have to wait. He's recovering very well. I'm sure we will have to wait until after the international break." - Antonio Conte in his press conference.

Chelsea have won five of their last six league matches against Spurs (D1), keeping five clean sheets in the process.

Spurs on the other hand have won their last two Premier League London derbies, having lost five in a row before this. They last had a longer winning run in such matches between February and November 2018 (seven).

Tottenham will look to keep their unbeaten run in the league and Chelsea will hope to get back to winning ways.

With City having dropped points away at Soton, Chelsea will no doubt fancy their chances of reducing the gap by a few points, to see maybe a title race can still be ignited.
