Hello everyone! As December and 2021 comes to an end, I can not say I am sad to see this disaster of a year and month end and hopefully begin with a new start into this year which shall be better than the last one!
THOROUGHLY ENJOYED
CEMETERY BOYS by Aiden Thomas
This book was so sweet and wonderful and painful and all in all a fantastic one I completely adored and still can not stop thinking about. Yadriel is one of the sweetest most amazing characters who has my whole heart. He's sweet and kind and trying to prove himself and helpful and just wanting to be accepted. Julian too stole my heart right from the beginning with all his love for others and his story and acceptance.
I loved how hopeful and positive and happy the ending was which made my heart feel full and glad andI know I will be coming back to this book a lot whenever I need a pick me up.
LOVELESS by Alice Oseman
This book was a delight to read and I loved every single second of it. I loved seeing as Georgia figures out that she is aromatic asexual and tries to come to terms with it especially considering her love for romance and fan fiction.
I loved the honest discussions of sex and masturbation and seeing how messy and complicated friendships can be even though you don't want to hurt the other person. I also loved the emphasis on platonic relationships and how they matter so so much!
YOU DESERVE EACH OTHER by Sarah Hogle
This book was so chaotic and messy and the characters were kind of messed up and really shouldn't have been together and they were pretty unlovable but it all slowly changes and I loved that. I loved seeing them getting to know each other again, I loved seeing them fall in love again and I loved seeing them be there for each other and being a perfect match and just being absolutely adorable.
This book is basically the lyrics "maybe we got lost in translation/ maybe I asked for too much/ but maybe this thing was a masterpiece until you tore it all up" so if that's something you want, read it!
A GOOD GIRL'S GUIDE TO MURDER by Holly Jackson
I read this entire series in a week, and I have nothing but praise for it, especially the first book in the series. This book is not just about uncovering secrets and murders, but also in so many ways about friendships, love and family bonds which play a very important role in shaping the story and our main characters. At the heart of it, this book is about the people it revolves around and what they do to protect those they care for. It's what makes this book so real and special and gets you invested. Overall, Holly Jackson has written a mind blowing, shocking thriller that will suck you in soon enough and not let you go until you know everything - until you know the truth.
THE RED PALACE by June Hur
This was my first June Hur book and it is safe to say I am in love with her and her writing and I will be reading her backlist very very soon! The atmosphere, the writing, the characters, the mystery, the romance - all of it was great!
I loved how fast paced the book was and how I didn't even realise how much I had read until I stopped and checked! If you want something fun, intriguing and fast to read - this is definitely the book for, so go preorder it now!
THE BONE SHARD EMPEROR by Andrea Stewart
This sequel completely lives up o the first book and in fact, surpasses it. It was fun and adventurous and had an amazing plot and I loved getting to know the characters more and fell in love with them even more. I loved seeing a different magic system explored in this book and getting to see this world even more.
I am so so excited for the finale especially after all the reveals and the ending and just, oh my god, this book was so so good !!
PRETTY GOOD!
A DARK AND HOLLOW STAR BY Ashley Shuttleworth
This book was really fun and interesting to read and mostly easy and quick to get through but was quite confused for the first 30-40% which I didn't like I'm fine with being a little confused due to the world building but I felt there were a few too many characters introduced right at the start to keep track of it all.
However, once I did understand the book and get into it, I had a lot of fun reading it and got invested in the characters and the story! I especially loved Nausicsa and her relationship with Arlo and I can't wait to see more of them and the other characters in the next book.
PORTRAIT OF A THIEF by Grade D Li
This book is about Chinese people stealing back their art from the west and getting it to China and I love every single second of them reclaiming their history and art and culture and breaking a form of colonisation the West still enforces by keeping hostage the art and other products of the countries they had invaded long ago.
This book just touched me and made me emotional and saw a part of me I can't explain and I don't know what to say except read it. The book does get a little repetitive with the same heists but it in no way takes away from the story and how lovely and meaningful it is.
SPOILER ALERT by Olivia Date
This book was so cute and sweet and I loved it so so much! I like the online personas and the interaction between them and the angst that resulted from it.
I also loved the discussions regarding fat phobia and dyslexia and how it impacted the characters. I also loved how they both fell in love and actually got to know each other and it was just so sweet AHHAHA
TOTAL BOOKS: 11

I finished watching this amazing show and thoroughly enjoyed it and am obsessed with it and it's theme song which I keep singing to myself at random times throughout the day.
I love the balance of relationships, effects of life on them and hard choices the characters had to make which shaped this show into an interesting and fun one and can not wait for season 2! My favourite character was definitely Vi and I can't wait for more of her soon!
JUJUTSU KAIGEN
I've been wanting to watch more anime and I'd heard great things about this one so I decided to start it on a whim and I'm glad to say it doesn't disappoint. I aver't been able to finish it yet so no spoilers please but I am loving it so so much so far!
I like the different characters and I'm in love with Megumi and Gojo and Yuji! I'm a little scared for things to come seeing the direction this show is taking but I am sure it'll be fun despite all the pain it will definitely cause me soon.
WHAT I DID IN DECEMBER
December was crazy with finals week in the start but then I did get quite a bit of time off to relax ad rejuvenate after that! I am also halfway through college which seems unreal and I can't process it since I have never even been on campus???
I got to read write a few books and start tv shows once finals were over and I played a lot of genshin impact which I have been absolutely loving so far! So, if you're on the Europe server lemme know and we shall be friends and can maybe even coop sometime???
I also got to meet my friends and family over the last week for a Christmas party and some New Years celebration which was just a lot of fun! We played so much poker and some other board games and danced and had fun and chilled and roamed around and it was all in all a great time!
PLANS FOR JANUARY
Right now there are a lot of covid cases spreading here in India so my plan for January is to sit back at home and relax and start off with the new college semester and hopefully write a lot of blog posts and be consistent on instagram!
I also want to read A LOT this month so let us see how it goes! I have so so many books I want to get to this year and I feel like getting to them al now! I also have a lot of reviews to write up which is my plan for more blog posts too! I also had a few collaborations with other bloggers but they had to be pushed back due to us being busy so I'm looking forward to contacting them again and starting on them and maybe scheduling some interviews with some authors too?
