Detroit just does not go away, they continue to be hard to play against and win some games.

Last Week: 18

The Flyers had a difficult week, and the very inconsistent Flyers return to .500.

  1. Los Angeles Kings

Record: 9-8-3

Last Week: 21

The Kings are really Biting their way to being an above .500 team. Okay bad joke, but the Kings are still a below-average team.

  1. Dallas Stars

Record: 10-7-2

Last Week: 22

The Stars have been hot due to the goaltending play of Jake Oettinger. That bring them up in Week 7 NHL Power Rankings.

  1. San Jose Sharks

The Sharks waived troubling forward Evander Kane, who is now playing in the AHL.

The Predators have become one of the most average teams in the league this year, they are going to beat bad teams, and lose to good teams.

Charlie McAvoy is the team's top player right now, and that has helped this team all year.

Last Week: 26

The Penguins look to be back on track to being a playoff team.

The only issue with the Knights right now is Robin Lehner and goaltending.

Jordan Kyrou is the team MVP so far this season, his success has led this team to great success.

A 7-2-1 record in the past 10 games shows that this team is back to normal form.

  1. Tampa Bay Lighting

Record: 12-5-3

Last Week: 9

The Lightning is a very dangerous team still, but you have to wonder if losing their two big stars is going to impact their performance anytime soon.

The Rangers continue to get great depth play with their main stars not yet reaching their full potential.

The Flames are getting outstanding goaltending and great play on offense.

  1. Minnesota Wild

The Oilers are maybe the best offensive team in the league, the only question is, when will the defense and goaltending start becoming an issue.

  1. Toronto Maple Leafs

Last Week: 6

The Leaf's slow start is old news, as they have been lights out. It helps to have a good goalie finally.

  1. Florida Panthers

Record: 14-4-3

Last Week 1

The Panthers are outside the top 2 for the first time since my preseason rankings. The team has had a difficult run as of late, their latest bad game was a loss against the Kraken. They do have two key players hurt in Shasha Barkov and Anthony Duclair, so when they return the team should be back on top.

  1. Carolina Hurricanes

Record: 16-4-1

The Hurricanes had a difficult week, but the Canes are still a top team in the league.

  1. Washington Capitals
