If you just got a new Apple Watch as a gift this holiday season, getting started is as simple as bringing the device close to your phone and following a few easy instructions. Pairing an Apple Watch to your iPhone is simple, but it does take a little patience.

1. Open your iPhone's Watch app

2. Press the Start Pairing button

3. Tap the Set Up For Myself button

4. When prompted, position your iPhone’s camera over the new Apple Watch
