Share with a friend: TODAY'S HEADLINES  |  Oct. 28, 2021 Hartness Development plans innovation district The development company announced plans for Crescent Startup Community, a large mixed use project to create a space that will foster innovation as it serves as a gathering spot for innovators and entrepreneurs.  Office, health care distributor sets up shop in Union It all started with Valley Suppliers and its blueprint toners around the turn of the last century. Now, 11 brands later, Tiger Companies is planning to launch a pet supply line and has established a new warehouse, manufacturing facility and showroom in Union County for its survey equipment company Adir Pro. Filmmakers receive funding to produce 3 projects in S.C. Three home-grown grant recipients, including two Upstate filmmakers, have the opportunity to produce their short films and showcase South Carolina's movie crews. Submitters package together a script, production strategy, a budget and a schedule.  Appraisers struggle to keep up in hot real estate market This red-hot real estate market has put a strain on every industry involved in home buying and selling: homebuilders, real estate agents, mortgage lenders and, especially, appraisers. Upstate Weekend Hound of Baskervilles seizes Greenville stage The Sherlock Holmes classic is Greenville Theatre's first show of the season and covers the plight of a British noble set to inherit a vast fortune and a cursed death in the fangs of a demonic hound. Directed by Suzanne McCalla and starring David Bean as Sherlock Holmes, the show's remaining dates include Oct. 28 - 31 and Nov. 4 - 7.
