According to a study published in Lancet Global Health, results from tests of the drug fluvoxamine were so strong that experts recommended stopping the study early. They call their mini-vacations WWW — Wild Woman Weekend — and while they aren't so wild anymore, Beaudoin says they love each other dearly. The group is now mostly retired and scattered across New Hampshire, Florida, Connecticut and Maryland, but they typically meet in the Hartford, Conn., area. Beaudoin says they kept the tradition going with virtual cocktail chats during the pandemic, and plan to meet again in Hartford in 2022.
