D'Tigers of Nigeria Guard, Ike Iroegbu in a recent tweet, has campaigned for legendary Nigerian Basketball player Ike Diogu to become the NBBF president.
Ike Diogu, Gold medalist at the 2015 Afrobasket Championship and MVP at the 2017 edition, seems to be getting the needed support from players and journalist, to become the president of Nigeria Basketball Federation some day.
New Hapoel Elyon player Ike Iroegbu tweeted " Ike Diogu for NBBF president on his official Twitter account," on Tuesday.
Basketball scout Anthony who has been a long-term admirer of Diogu's game, reveals that, the only way to solve the hullabaloo surrounding Nigeria Basketball Federation is to give Ike Diogu a chance to head the federation, however Anthony also pointed out that NBA great Hakeem Olajuwon can oversee the operations.
" I think Diogu should be the president, because he has stayed in Nigeria, and trust me that guy has been like a pioneer of Nigeria Basketball, people loves him, people would want to listen to him."
speaking of Hakeem Olajuwon, Anthony said.
"Hakeem Olajuwon is like a pillar in the NBA and in the Basketball world, he will be able to get some opportunities. Hakeem can be just there to support and make Diogu cross some bridges he can't cross."
