We are officially in September which means we are just around the corner from the start of NHL training camps and for the Minnesota Wild they could be without one of their best players.

Reigning Calder Trophy Winner Kirill Kaprizov is still without a contract and now is flying home to Siberia.

Granted it is supposedly only for a few days keep in mind he already has a tentative agreement to play in the KHL if a deal with the Wild doesn't get done.

Maybe he just wants to head back home for a little bit before fully gearing up for the NHL season or maybe he plans on staying there and playing in the KHL. We will just have to wait and see over the next few days or weeks however long it takes for a deal to get done or not.

There have been some reports out there that have said the Wild and Kaprizov are close to coming to an agreement in the 5 year range. However, I have yet to see that from a solid source so I don't know how close they really are.
