The Miami Heat are reportedly set to decline Goran Drogic's $19.4 million option this week, making him an unrestricted free agent. Dragic signed with the Heat in 2015 and proved to be a key piece in their Finals run just two years ago.

It's tough to know what the market for Dragic would be after last season, but as far as on the court goes, the 35 year old averaged nearly 14 points per game, shot 38% from 3 and could provide solid bench minutes as the Sixers may have another point guard spot open next year.

If the Sixers do indeed move on from Dwight Howard this offseason, which looks more likely by the day, Dragic's leadership could be key as the Sixers as they look to finally make it out of the second round of the playoffs.

Dragic has appeared in 60 playoff games over the course of his 12 year career. This experience could especially come in handy with players like Tyrese Maxey and Shake Milton which look like key pieces of the future.

There is interest from "several NBA title and postseason contenders" according to Shams Charania but Shams did not include the names of the teams that were interested. The Sixers are certainly a playoff and title contender this upcoming season and the fit of Dragic is there, it's just a question of the money they're willing to front for him.

The Sixers picked up George Hill at the trade deadline, who quickly fell out of favor after seeing drastic dips in minutes and in turn 3P% and FG%. Hill would be the obstacle with obtaining Dragic and honestly, they're similar players.

To pick up Dragic you would almost certainly have to trade Hill. George Hill is also only guaranteed $1.27M this season where Dragic would certainly be more than that. Would it be worth it to give George Hill a fair shake in Philadelphia or should they make the change and go for Goran Dragic?
