S.C. under emergency declaration following DarkSide hack

After a ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline Co. halted all operations at the Georgia-based pipeline, South Carolina and 16 other states were placed under a "regional emergency declaration" that called for an immediate transport of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel to mitigate an impending shortage.

Roof of Boeing plant catches fire Saturday

No one was injured and no aircraft were damaged in the incident. The company, which produces three models of 787 Dreamliners at the facility in North Charleston, said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Charleston bookkeeper pleads guilty to stealing $1 million

The Mount Pleasant resident pled guilty in federal court and could receive as many as 20 years in prison. FBI and IRS agents found a separate set of books where she kept detailed records of how she allegedly stole the money.
