Share with a friend: TODAY'S HEADLINES  |  May 11, 2021 Greenville and Charleston to sue Airbnb The Greenville City Council passed a resolution Monday night that permits City Manager John McDonough and City Attorney Mike Pitts to join the city of Charleston and other South Carolina municipalities in a lawsuit against short-term rental companies. Columbia tech startup receives $200,000 investment SC Launch Inc., the nonprofit affiliate of S.C. Research Authority, has invested $200,000 in Columbia-based startup Reporting Xpress, which provides automated reporting solutions for nonprofits and their end-users. BridgeTower names group publisher for SC Biz News BridgeTower Media has named Rick Jenkins group publisher for SC Biz News. Ford Foundation gives $500,000 to Mother Emanuel Memorial The Ford Foundation has donated $500,000 to the Emanuel Nine Memorial through the Mother Emanuel Memorial Foundation, a Charleston organization that focuses on creating educational outreach and social justice initiatives aimed at eradicating racism.
