Columbia artist Ija Charles, whose work is also on display in downtown Cayce and has been featured at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, completed the expansive work in three and a half weeks. Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show set for next weekend The show, postponed from its original March date, will take place May 21-23 at the S.C. State Fairgrounds. Exhibits will feature virtual displays with links to products and live chats, and admission to this year's event is free. Big-budget film to feature Patriots Point artifacts Devotion tells the story of two naval pilots, the first African-American Naval Aviator Jesse Brown and Medal of Honor recipient Tom Hudner, and their friendship during World War II. A captain's chair and a sink from the U.S.S. Yorktown will be used in the film's set.
