Between 1968 and 1974, this radical underground radio station amplified the social, political and cultural happenings of the time. WBCN staff were instrumental in conveying what was going on in society on the airwaves by reflecting the countercultural scene, anti-war activism, civil rights struggles and the emerging women's and LGBTQ liberation movements.
