A total of 6,000 ITA are issued. This was the second invitation round held in two days. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round was 400. A total of 6,000 candidates are invited by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in the April 29 draw and they needed a minimum score of 400. Invited candidates needed to be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and have a score of at least 400 in order to receive an Invitation to Apply. Basic eligibility requirements for the CEC include one year of full-time skilled work experience in Canada, and intermediate official language skills among other criteria.  Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in today's draw; candidates had to have submitted their profiles before April 24, 2021 at 15:24:49 UTC, This means that all candidates with CRS scores above 432, as well as those with scores of 432 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA. "The CEC was created in 2008 to help more temporary workers and international student graduates to transition to permanent residency," said David Cohen, Senior Attorney of Campbell Cohen. "Candidates need to have one year of Canadian work experience to be eligible for the CEC. This experience is highly valuable in Canada's job market. As such, we see many CEC candidates employed within their first year of landing." If a candidate receives an ITA, they can go ahead and submit a permanent residence application to IRCC. While a job offer is not required in order to be eligible under the Express Entry system, the CRS does award additional points to candidates who have one. A total of 381 ITA are issued. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round was 717. This CRS score may seem higher than the previous PNP- specific draw because everyone invited had previously received a nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Candidates can receive an additional 600 CRS points if they receive an invitation through an Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This effectively guarantees they will successfully receive an ITA for permanent residence. Since the beginning of 2021, the IRCC has only conducted express entries that target candidates who are likely to be in Canada. This is part of an effort to accept 401,000 new permanent residents in 2021. Of these, 108,500 are expected to come through express entry-managed programs. Canada has already invited 55,771 express entry candidates in 2021. This is a significantly higher invitation than the one issued last year at the same time as the IRCC on February 13 invited every candidate who was eligible for the Canadian Experience category. According to IRCC estimates, about 90 percent of these candidates are in Canada.  PNP candidates often require work experience, study experience, or some other connection to the province to obtain enrollment. As such, these candidates already have a high proportion of candidates in the country. On an average, IRCC holds two express entry draws every two weeks. One invites PNP-only candidates, and the other invites CEC-only candidates. The PNP draws are high score requirements due to the automatic 600-point award. CEC draws have lower score requirements because there are fewer candidates from other express entry-managed programs that compete to implement invitations (ITAS). Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in today's draw; candidates had to have submitted their profiles before March 16, 2021 at 21:20:50 UTC. This means that all candidates with CRS scores above 717, as well as those with scores of 717 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.
