TRUMP'S B TEAM With just over a week until his impeachment trial, Trump announced a new defense team Sunday. The announcement was intended to promote a sense of stability after it was revealed he had parted ways with previous lawyers over his demand that they make the case that he won the election. 'PROFOUND' RACIAL DISPARITY IN VACCINE Black and Latino residents of New York City have used only a fraction of the coronavirus vaccines they should have received, the latest data reveal. “Clearly, we do see a profound disparity that needs to be addressed aggressively and creatively,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said. GOP SENATORS FLOAT DEAL Ten Republican senators sent a letter to President Joe Biden proposing a bipartisan compromise on COVID-19 relief, with a much smaller aid package. VACCINATED REP. TESTS POSITIVE FOR VIRUS Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) tested positive for the coronavirus after receiving both doses of vaccine prior to Inauguration Day. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it's possible to test positive in the few weeks before immunity has built up from taking the vaccine. [HuffPost]
