Louisville softball star Carmyn Greenwood was named the ACC Player of the Week on Tuesday after a handful of solid outings at the plate. The graduate outfielder has been one of the most dynamic hitters not only in the conference, but in the country this season. Greenwood is currently slashing a staggering .415 on the year, while tallying 14 homeruns and 52 RBIs.

"Greenwood (Birmingham, Ala.) led the team to a series win against Virginia this weekend. The graduate senior batted .600 (6-for-10) with five runs, a double, triple and home run and was 2-for-2 in stolen base. She also produced an impressive 1.200 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage. Additionally, the left fielder delivered two assists, one in each of the on the Cardinals' wins over the weekend.
The speedy leadoff hitter registered at least one hit in each game, going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in the series opening 5-4 win. She sparked a seventh inning rally with a leadoff single and scored the tying run in Louisville's walk-off victory. In Sunday's win Greenwood went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, home run and walk – a single shy of the cycle. She also scored three runs and drove in a pair of runs to help the Cardinals clinch the series.
Greenwood leads the team with 22 multi-hit games on the season and is tied for the lead with 14 multi-RBI games. With her home run in Sunday's game, now has a career-best 14 on the season and moves into a tie for the team lead. She is also tied for third on Louisville single season home run list. After the weekend, Greenwood also moved into school's top 10 single season list for RBIs (52), triples (7) and runs (52). She leads the ACC in triples, runs scored and slugging percentage.
The Cardinals (26-21, 10-11 ACC) will hit the road for the final four games of the regular season this week starting with a midweek contest at UIC on Wednesday. Louisville will then travel to No. 20 Notre Dame for a three-game ACC series May 6-8."
